It will be three to four separate breasts. The last time I cooked this much was actually about several more but it wasn't Turkey time so I could get them fresh fairly close to cooking time. I just salt and peppered them, threw a bit of butter in and out and a piece or two of bacon on top.

For what it's worth, my favorite stuffing is pretty much off the shelf Staufers seasoned stuffing, sauteed onions/celery/apples/butter/fresh turkey stock or chicken stock, Bells seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. Not very exciting but appeals to the masses.

I don't know about anyone else but every time I click on FoodNetwork there are tons of pop-ups and have even gotten a virus or two from that site. I go on lots of recipe sites and have never had the problems I've had from F.N. It's a bummer because I love Barefoot Contessa, Giarda & Sandra Lee, among others. Anyone else? I'm curious.....

contessa, turn on your pop-up blocker... that should do away with a lot of your problems...

BTW... I can't stand Sandra Lee... she's too "cute" to the point of making me sick! She's up there with the Niely's!

I was channel surfing tonight and caught Rachel Ray on the FN and she was talking so fast she made me nervous!

I agree about the Niely's and Rachael Ray!! And also felt that way about Sandra Lee but after seeing her Bio I have more respect for her, plus I like short cuts and that's what makes her program unique. As far as the decor.......I agree.....it's hoakey (sp)!! But, I've moved beyond.
Re: popups.....you're right, but what about the 'bugs' that seem to come with it?

There's a good chance the "bugs" came from the pop-ups...
not always, you can get virus' etc. from a web page too...
But more often they will come from a pop-up...
Personally, I have never gotten a virus nor anything else from the FN, with a pop-up blocker turned on...
But I do have good internet security on all our PC's...

and OH geeze... the Niely's are way over the top with all the...
"OH, Isn't she just so great? I just love her so much"
"OH no baby... you are the best, love cheeks" [kissy] [kissy]...
Give me a break... it's a <censored> cooking show, not a romance novel...
makes me want to ...

Rachael Ray... she's in a boat all by herself... and full of herself... and way too much of her on TV...
But she does work hard... she puts out a lot of TV time...
nothing I'm interested in though...

I do like the Barefoot Contessa, as she's a hometown girl from Eastern LI!
and I have shopped in many of the places she mentions, and have had many of her old time tried and true LI seafood recipes...
a lot of her beachside meals (clam bakes, lobster bakes, etc.) are not uncommon out there...

Sandra Lee... what she does is what people have done since the depression and also since the 50-60's frozen food market opened up...
she just does nicey, nicey napkins and decorations with it... and serves foo-foo drinks...

thrilled to see new replies only to find out no new recipes! clowns. so let me add to the bashing, i don't care for sandra's semi homemade either. my only gripe with barefoot contessa is she always wears blue. this recipe of hers, btw, is pretty good. i have an abundant supply of cognac and used it for her gravy.
