Hi I'm planning a trip along the west coast LA to Seattle in February next year. Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced accommodation. Staying in SF for 4 days. Is Hostel worth considering?

Hotel Diva. Moderate price, great location by Union Square.
Walk to shops, restaurants etc. Cable Car close by.
Stayed there years ago for a conference.
Cheers
