Some of my most formative memories chartering in the VI were made during our annual stops at The Last Resort on Bellamy Cay in Trellis Bay, where the devilishly clever Tony Snell (later joined on the set by his daughter) regaled guests with hilarious numbers like "Bermuda Triangle" and his twisted version of "Sloop John B." It was a must for us on every trip and I can still recall the collective disappointment we felt if we showed up to find a stand-in. Since Tony's passing, we've lost touch with the place and I know that it has undergone a series of transitions, starting with an effort by his daughter and husband to keep it going. Two questions: 1) what, if anything, is going on at The Last Resort these days; and 2) is it worth a visit (from both an entertainment and dining perspective?

Met their new chef and his girlfriend/hostess. They were nice. If they are open it might be a worthwhile time. There is live music at Marina cay.

Have been a few times and while the food has not impressed, the hosts are very nice and the setting is still one of my favs anywhere. Last time we just did happy hour smile Cheers.

Over the years, we've had some really memorable times there. Now, when we were there in June, there's a regular musician every night except Thursday (when someone else plays) and hermit crab races on Wednesdays. The menu prices are premium but the reviews are not, so we enjoyed grilled steaks on the boat and went over after dinner for drinks and entertainment in a pretty nice atmosphere. I like what they've done with the outside, with its bar, swing, seating and large Jenga game. The music was just so-so, not so great for dancing, but I'd be willing to return when the regular guy is there.

We were there in July. Food was so-so. Prices were high. Setting was fantastic as was the music. We will probably go back but probably not next trip.
