Hello, I am hoping to send a cake to a friend who lives in sxm for his birthday. I tried googling cake delivery but I only came up with companies charging upwards of $75. Any suggestions for a more affordable solution? This young man works at the Simpson Bay Resort & Marina, it would be sent there. Thank you.

Try taste factory website. They are in Simpson Bay and have a good selection. On their web site there is a place where you can order what you want and give them additional info--not sure if they will deliver, but they do catering so I would guess so.

So I have to share the happy ending in the quest to deliver a cake to a friend who lives on island...
Jeannie, of ShopnDrop fame, kindly offered to waive the minimum order so that I could order a cake through her company. But way above and beyond that, she took so much time out of her day to deliver it directly to my friend (there was a bit of a mix up at the SBR - long story). She even snapped a pic of his delighted face and sent it to me. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all she did to make this happen, but those of you on this forum who know her already know what a good hearted person she is!
