I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but a search didn't turn anything up. Looking over the LIAT luggage restrictions/rules, shows that the check on size restriction is 157cm overall. I have a bag that is 165cm overall(so close), that I was going to take. In your experiences, how closely does LIAT check the size of check on baggage? I know they are very particular about weight, as we had to re pack at the check in line to get under the fifteen pound last time. Thanks for any insights!

Hi juicyfruit,
we travelled last week with Liat and also used a 165 cm luggage and had no problems. The "only" problem was that the flight was cancelled and we had to take the flight next day. Surprisingly Liat paid for hotel and taxi although we didn't ask for.

Did you mean 50 pound-limit or really 15?

Luggage Is Arriving Tomorrow. (Literally true for our only LIAT flight).

Thanks SunBvi. On our flight to St.Vincent last year, we had to remove. Few pounds from our carry on, as they were very strict on the fifteen pound limit. Think I will try the 165cm bag. Can't imagine it would be easy to detect a seven cm difference. Thanks
