They got caught. They're paying a $40 million fine. They are going to be court supervised for some time to come. For the next several years, at least, Princess Cruise ships will probably the cleanest ones out there, more rigorously adhering to environmental standards than any other cruise line in the world.
Honestly, if you're worried about the environmental impact of a cruise ship, Princess is probably the very best line to be on for the next few years. (At least, until the next one gets caught!)
