I am looking for a charter management company in the BVI which I can work with to offer a 2006 Beneteau 42 CC for bareboat charter.

Can anyone recommend an independant BVI charter company that would accept a B42CC into their fleet?
Thanks

I would second Conch Charters. Very honest people who run a company specializing in older boats. If the boat has a generator and AC you should be able to place it with them or perhaps BVI yacht charters. Without the generator it will be a tougher sell but they may still take it depending on condition and prior charter use.
If you don't have a generator onboard I would consider adding it. It's a personal opinion but I feel there is a market for a small monohull with AC that is underserved.

I concur with GeorgeC1. As mono sailors the market for smaller mono's with gen AC is just about nil. would love to have that option.

What am I missing? After 13or 14 BVI charters I never had a genset and never really missed it. I have one on my boat but never needed it in the BVI. Are you guys mostly going in the summer?

I'm with you! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> of course I'm still having issues thinking of a 42 footer as a small mono! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

I can get by without it, but prefer it. Our boat doesn't have A/C unless we're on shore power. We usually go in the summer. Last trip in October was the hottest I've ever seen it. But May-Oct it can be nice to have, especially if there's no breeze. Trips we've been from Jan-mar it hasn't been needed.

I get it, I only have been between December and the end of March. Have had only a couple nights where it was hot and that was mostly due to rain causing hatches to be closed...

After chartering with Brent at the Captains Compass several times we have very recently purchased a 2010 Beneteau 43 with 3 beds and 3 bathrooms and shore powered air conditioning. After a very meticulous phase out in St Martin, that went well beyond our expectations, we have entrusted Brent with "Esmeralda" our life long dream. The yacht has been updated with a new Carib dingy and Tohatsu outboard and all new bedroom and bathroom linens and all new galley ware. And I believe our Yacht is priced over $100 a Day less than comparable monohulls? ...

Is this an answer or ad?

Thanks, Conch would have been my first choice as well, as we have chartered with them for many years. Unfortunately a 2006 vintage is now considered too elderly for the fleet there.

Thanks, The vessel has AC, and I intend to fit a generator. It is really unfortunate that Conch Charter consider 2006 too old now, but I am pretty sure there would be a market.
