We got home yesterday, stayed a week and hit many islands... Only bug issue was ashore and not too bad anywhere except bubbly pool late in the day. However, got eaten alive badly by no-see-ums last night in my room in my bed at sugarmill... I believe they came in through the screen in bathroom window, AC on in the room. Was very bad.

ThreeSheets said: Anyone worried or had any experience with Zika in the BVI? Wife and I just got back from the BVI and intend to start a family in the near future. While a slight concern was there, we just used plenty of picaridin based bug spray. Didn't seem to get bothered by mosquitos on our trip, mostly flies and no-see-ums. In the unlikely event one of us would've contracted Zika we would've put off our family plans until we got the all clear. If my wife was actually pregnant I think we would've avoided the area until she delivered. No sense in taking that risk.
