We're planning a few days on land before flying home after our charter. I've found a couple possibilities on CGB and have also read great reviews about Sebastian's.

Are they close enough to walk between? Meaning, if we book at Sebastian's is it "doable" to walk up to CGB to the restaurants?

We don't plan to rent a car, so if a walk's not reasonable, CGB may be the better choice.

thanks!

No, it is not walkable between Sebastian's and Cane Garden Bay. It is at least 10 miles up and down some very big hills.

You COULD walk it..about 5 miles with serious hills up and down. They are Apples ( as in our bay ) and oranges ( or cane). In CGB you may have to deal with the cruise ships crowds but you have a choice of decent beach bars and restaurants. In Apple you have a choice of three places including the amazing Sugar Mill all within walking distance..smalller beach but no cruisers. You also have options in both places of staying in some cool places..but at Apple you have a good choice of waterfront..

We have guests that walk it for exercise during the day but it's a fairly rigorous walk/hike and not something you'd want to do in the dark.

Sebastian's is in Apple Bay, not walking distance from Cane Garden. I love Apple Bay, but when we stay there, we rent a car. There are only a couple places to eat and drink there in Apple Bay. If you don't plan to rent a car, Cane Garden is your best choice on Tortola. Lots of different places to eat/drink/etc, within walking distance.

We stayed at Sebastians a few years ago and simply loved it. Very quiet and peaceful , great beach , great sunsets and a quick stroll up to the Bomba shack . Even saw Manpot taking a morning stroll on the beach from my lounge chair

if you are looking to lay low after charter, I would visit Cane Garden Bay while on charter and then stay in Apple Bay at the end (it is not a place you would visit by boat) that way you get the best of both worlds....rent a car or cab it and pop over to Soper's (shopping and Scaramouche for dinner) , visit Smugglers, Bananakeet for dinner one night. However, if you are more into the nightlife and have no plan or desire to rent a car CGB would be better. You can't go wrong either way!!!

We've stayed at Sebastians but we had a rental car. I wouldn't stay there without one unless you just plan on staying on site. Would highly recommend Sugar Mill for a dinner no matter where you stay - it's one of my favorite dinner places in the BVI's.
We're staying at an Airbnb rental in CGB in April this year for a few days pre-charter and not renting a car since everything there is within walking distance. Not sure when you're travelling but I'll report back here on our stay.
