I know you mentioned renting a small 2 bedroom house, but you should at least look into the Bar Harbor Inn. Beautiful, well kept old hotel that is amazing. Bar Harbor is such a quaint town. Hotel Restaurant has succulent whole lobsters that melt in your mouth. Lobster museum in town that is full of amazing lobster history. Just a thought.
Jerry----No longer looking for that one particular harbor.

Thompson's Cottages in gorgeous New Harbor, adjacent to the famous Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, has a wonderful variety of cottages for rent, all very clean and meticulously maintained. (I have no personal or business connection, only as a perfectly satisfied client.) http://thompsoncottages.net/
