...wasn't really that bad.

The 2:30 ferry from West End to St. Thomas worked out perfectly, but what ever happened to that nice ferry with the top deck seating? Oh well, the old Bomba Charger got us there just fine.

All the various C&I at ferry dock and airport were a breeze, a very slow Sunday afternoon. One funny thing, the customs lady goes "is there a bottle of Bailey's in this bag" after Jack's bag went through the x-ray. She could see the label??? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />

Another potential problem occurred when the *nice* lady at the gate when boarding the flight from STT to SJU wanted me to gate check my small duffle carry on because "we are a no carry-on airline". I said, it's OK it will fit in the bin, and she reiterated they were "no carry-on" and I could carry on my purse only. I said, since when? 2 weeks ago it was okay.... Well, my laptop was in there and I was adamant and finally figured out to stuff my purse in the duffle and informed her it was my personal item. She wasn't happy, snapping at me that she had already put the gate check tag on it. You can figure out for yourselves what I did with that tag!

So, be warned you guys that love to go through STT...

The flight from SJU to Tampa was delayed, but not too bad, and I had purchased and received upgrades to First/Business Class and it was well worth it! Tried to make up the diff in free wine (for me) and Bailey's (for Jack) but we both fell asleep after the "meal service" and woke up shortly before landing in Tampa.

Taxi ride home (nice man from Haiti who made sure we stayed awake to tell him where to go!) and we were back home in the comforts of AC and the company of the poor neglected kitties around 12:30. Didn't even think about going in to work at normal time, just eased into it when we could.

Now it's time to book that February trip!

A real trip report, and pictures, to follow... soon, I hope!
