Story in The Daily Herald about discussions with JetBlue involving the FLL-SXM. Looks like they'll be ready to announce the route by the end of the year or early 2018.

How weird, I thought I had posted that earlier this morning but it never showed up! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Crazy.gif" alt="" /> I did appreciate the editorial today also, which pointed out that fares from Florida are sky high!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Mad.gif" alt="" /> Here's hoping with Jet Blue and presumably SW coming to Florida with flights to SXM that AA will finally have a little competition again!!

Hopefully we'll get some competition here in North Carolina too. I see people connecting through CLT from the midwest who are paying less than we are connecting through CLT from New Bern. Ridiculous!

I've been hoping for years that this comes to fruition. At one point, there was talk about a Southwest route also from FLL to SXM. Anyone hear anything about this lately???
