A blogger on another post stated that she stayed at SBR this past April and noted several annoying instances. Upon checking in, a number of units were not ready for occupancy for her and several others at the front desk. Room keys were given to the "concierges" rather than to the members/renters who had to wait until they were "found". (The concierges were not the usual friendly, knowledgeable locals, having been brought in from Cancun). The blogger further stated that she couldn't locate her concierge for two hours and no one else was able to help.

A second disappointment had to do with several scheduled events (Sunday beach party, Friday night meet and greet, etc.) which were canceled without notice. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

Anyone else staying at the resort recently have a similar experience?

While I can't speak about "recent" events but my most recent visit of six months ago and probably my 15th one had no similar issues to those you mentioned. On occasion if we arrived early we were checked in and offered to store our bags in the unit until it was ready.

I have never received a key from anyone other than the front desk. Most times we skip the concierge visit altogether.

As far as activities, I have no memories of any cancellations but I assume at some time any could be cancelled.
I have attended the Managers Party every year and never has it been cancelled. I will add that I believe it is usually on a Monday or Tuesday..not Friday
I do not recall any Sunday beach party being offered

We were there in March. My recollection is that we got our key at the desk but that we had to see the concierge to get the parking pass. She was really very nice. No delays.
