We were supposed to fly down to St MAARTEN on the 7th,( tomorrow), staying at BSV! ( And we were looking so much forward to it ) This trip was planned months ago, last minute. Obviously our plans have changed due to Irma! We have been in contact with Tracey and cancelled our dates but tentatively scheduled the end of October for our next trip. Now with this being said, it's just a vacation for us on the east coast of NC (North Topsail Beach) and looking at Irma closely coming our way as well as yours! Our main concern and foremost in our minds, is the health and well being of our friends on St MAARTEN in the coming days and months, even years! We have received an email from Tracey, and it goes as follows. I knew you were asking about BSV's, so we just want to pass this along.
Good Morning Catherine & Gary,
It is with great sadness that we have to cancel your upcoming reservation with us.
Hurricane Irma has caused extensive damage to the island of St Maarten.We have seen images of the airport and Island and we were severely hit. We assume flights will not be arriving to the island until they can begin the clean up and repair. We suggest that you contact your airlines, as soon as possible, about a refund or changing your flights.

At this time we do not have information on how severe the damage was to Beachisde. We have no communication with anyone on the island at this time. We will be refunding your payment in full for your reservation to Beachside. Once we can assess the damage to our property and determine the repairs that need to be made we will contact you about coming at a future date.
We do apologize for this inconvenience and we look forward to having you back to Beachside soon. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us. We will also keep everyone updated with our Facebook fan page.
