Anyone have any luck getting an RCI exchange fee refund for a trip needing to be cancelled due to the storm?

We have been calling daily. RCI rep indicated that Diamond Resorts needs to contact them letting them know all reservations are cancelled. We were told it could take weeks and that it is up to us to continue calling RCI to verify. Urgh

Next time pay the $50 insurance cancellation fee and they will refund no questions asked. I've had to do it twice and may have to a third time.

You should not have to do that if the company acted in a considerate way.

Tried to deposit three Dec/Jan weeks with Interval International and they were rejected as being ineligible at this time.

Once your resort confirms to RCI/II they are closed on your travel dates you will obtain new accommodations or credit without any added fees or charges.

I hadn't even considered trying to deposit my November and December weeks, but decided to try that this morning. RCI accepted my deposit of weeks 47 and 48 at La Vista Beach. I had deposited our week 49 earlier in the year. I doubt it will stick, but it was worth the try....
