So many of the photos that I've seen since Irma look so bleak, especially since most of the vegetation was blown off in the hurricanes in addition to the devastation to so many buildings . I remember returning to SXM after Luis many years ago and was surprised at how quickly the vegetation returned. I'm hoping that is the case this time and maybe someone on the island can give us some good news with photos once some greenery starts to return.

Thanks for the link, that's what I was looking for! Great to see the new growth and the island from a local's perspective. Interesting photos and videos if you scroll down their page. It looks like progress is being made!
