We may have to give it a try soon, who knows what direction it may go after the sale. We might do a split stay at Desert Sun Club and New Terra Cotta Inn.

Desert Sun Resort is a one of a kind nudist resort here on the west coast. It is a full service nudist resort- close to many restaurants and tourist activities here in Palm Springs. Tennis court, restaurant, 3 pools, sauna/spa/massage,gym;condo units etc.The rooms are a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. The resort also offers day passes at a reasonable rate. It would be a shame if it were be sold and and operated as a textile resort. IMHO

We had another great visit to DSR, I'm sure hopeful they can find a buyer to continue the trajectory that the Youngs have started. The steady hand of the Youngs after a tumultuous period in the resort's history seems to have paid off. The resort looks better than ever, there are more people visiting during the week when we like to go, the restaurant is busy nearly every day and the physical condition has never been better. Seems that the marketing has been aimed at the younger generation, and during our short stay we noticed more younger couples than in the past.

Here's to a fantastic resort, and a nod to the hard work of the Youngs leaving it much better than they found it.

Said to see another one at risk... Loved it when they allowed us to bring the kids.
When they stopped allowing kids, I got three different explanations on three separate inquiries... never sat well with me.

Doesn't make any sense that they would try to cater to the "family environment" when they don't allow kids. How else will the younger generation grow up into the naturist lifestyle if they can't be exposed to it in a wholesome environment with their parents and other responsible adults?

We are planning a week stay at the DSR, in October or November.. will it still be the same ? We are going because it sound like a perfect alternative to club O.. any recent news?

We stayed at the pilot house in key west a few years ago just before they closed forever.. sad because it was a great place. Hope this is not a trend

I would recommend October and not November. Average high in October is 91, average high in November is 79. 91 feels alot better on bare skin than 79.

We're planning a trip in October. I'm sure you won't notice any difference, especially if you've never been before... wink It's a great place!

It's indeed on sale, but they're not in a hurry. They will wait until they find the right buyer and normally it should stay a nudist place
