Ours was very noisy. We like half mile from an indian reservation/casino that sells and fires the big ones. They start selling then in May when we are gone and they are still setting them off as I type. Not even sure they really know the true meaning of what the 4th is. Just dollars to them.

For little over 2 months its a war zone where we live. Other than that its close to our second paradise.
