Well, sh*t, looks hopefully to be a long way away, but it's early. Hope it's a non issue for SXM.

I was watching the Weather Channel earlier and their forecast says sea temps and winds are NOT favorable for further development. Let’s pray they are correct.

Looks like Beryl will go south of SXM but should be watched, things can rapidly change!

For official information and forecasts, please refer to NHC and NWS...

Well I thought it would give it with the SXM point but you have to use the tool to put in SXM. Looks to be south by about 150 miles. Hoping it turns out to be nothing for the entire chain of Islands.

Currently showing around 150 miles as closest point of approach, which shouldn't be a problem, for such a small storm..

Tropical storm watches have been issued for Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Martin and St. Barths by the french government. Lets hope they don't even get that!!! But know one should ever underestimate any of these storms.

According to Weather Undergroung anticipated to be downgraded to a TS Sunday afternoon. According to Storm Carib CPA 185 miles around 11:30 am on Monday. Hopefully all that is correct and there isn’t too much to worry about. But we all know how quickly things can change.

Yes, right now for SXM doesn't look too bad, but I guess with such a small storm, it can change much more rapidly than a larger one.

The rain is certainly needed. Not the flooding or beach erosion. frown

For as much as you should never underestimate any of these storms, It has now weekend significantly and hopefully will continue to decrease in strength and won't be a giant threat to any of the islands in its path.

Closest point of approach now down to 128 miles, but Beryl is down to only 45 mph. Hopefully just a rain event for SXM..

The island definitely needs a good soaking. I’ve been here a week without any rain except for a small shower earlier this morning that supplied a rainbow so close that it felt like I could reach out and touch it.

Per the 2 PM advisory, looks to be a rain event for SXM, which actually the island needs, so long as there is no flooding.. Not very good for tourists, but the island does need rain.

"Beryl is expected to produce storm total rain accumulations of 2 to 3 inches through Tuesday across the Leeward and the Virgin Islands, as well as Puerto Rico. Local amounts up to 5 inches are possible."

Also shows an earlier passing time of 5am previously it was expected at 8:20am.
Hope the island get the rain it needs without flooding or hindering recovery efforts.
