2 adults staying on Scrub for 5 days needing help with itinerary. Never been to bvi's.

Arrival day, enjoy resort
Day 2 - ferry to virgin gorda
taxi or rent jeep and visit savannah bay, spring bay devil's bay national park and the baths, leverick bay ( can this be done?) would you scatch any of these?
Day 3 - fly to angegada - cow wreck beach, anegada beach club for lobster dinner ( any other suggestions?)
Day 4 - boat tour - snorkeling to ?
Day 5 jost van dyke - foxy's and soggy dollar, and tortola cane bay beach, smugglers cove, brewers beach, hike sage mountain loop
Day 6 ferry out to stt

I know all this probably cannot be done. What would you take off and would you organize it differently?

The folks at 'DiveBVI' have a satellite shop at Scrub and they do day trips that you might be interested. I would recommend you consider.

I would skip Jost, just because you are there only 5 days.

VG would be a nice day whether renting from Mahogsny or working with a taxi driver to get dropped at Savannah and at the Top of the Baths and Spring Bay.

Anegada would be a great beach day, but again with such a short itinerary we’d spend more time on Tortola and enjoy the beautiful beaches there.

If you rent a Jeep you can spend one day visiting Smuggler’s, Long Bay, CGB, and Brewers if you really want to move around a lot. CGB would be a good choice for happy hour/dinner/evening entertainment. But if you decide to just chill a bit more and want a beach closer to Scrub Long Bay, Beef Island is also beautiful. I understand cruise lines are offering excursions to LB, Beef now (ugh) so be sure to refer to the cruise ship calendars when planning a day trip there, to CGB, or to the Baths.

And a daysail with Aristocat, Kuralu, or Patouche would be an amazing day, they offer different itineraries for snorkeling the Indians or Norman Island caves, or spending time on Jost.

But do enjoy the beauty and the people of Tortola.

crmoores thank you ! I may skip Anegada if you think Tortola would be a good substitute. I will check out the day sails too, I will check out those links as well. You all have been very helpful.

Dont skip Anegada...if you're anything like us, it will be your best day! We've been coming to the BVI for the last 20 years, love so many different parts of it...but if pressed for our favourite place...its Anegada. Everywhere is getting developed, built up and to an extent spoiled...Anegada thanks to its geography alone seems to be the hold out. Don't scratch this from your plan. Also...your original plan, sounds amazing...there may be a few bits that end up getting scratched, but wow, thats a good week!

Contact Dean for a Ute rental on Anegada, he'll meet you at the airfield. Then...

Cow Wreck - YES

Loblolly - YES

Whole island - YES

Plus, the view you'll get of the whole chain flying in and out...best day. Don't skip!

I have to agree with Christo on this one. Anegada is incredible and so different. It was our favorite as well. You can’t go wrong with any of them- for sure- but since you asked.... don’t skip Anegada (IMO)

ok Anegada back on the agenda! Any day of the week to go better than the other? Any days when businesses are closed there? How far in advance to book flight for beef island?

Combining your snorkeling trip with Soggy Dollar Bar is a good choice. It will give you a flavor of Jost Van Dyke. I prefer Foxy's but both bars are good and you do not need to do both on the same day. It has been a while, but I believe you can dock near Foxy's and would have to swin in or dingy to Soggy Dollar Bar. I hope you save time for snorkeling at the Baths.

I’m with Christo. Anegada is amazing in its simplicity. We love staying on the island. The locals are amazing and the food is incredible. Our favorite for lobster is Anegada Reef Hotel and Potters. But everyone has their opinion on the best losbster. We fly in from STT or Beef Is depending on VIAirlink. The flight is awesome! The islands are very beautiful from 2,000 ft. You can reach Dean Wheatley at dwjeep@hotmail.com or his cell 284-544-3703. Have a great trip. Love your aggressive itinerary!

Go Irish!!

Your original itinerary will have you getting to/ from different islands much of the day, limiting how much time you can actually explore the islands.,

Now you can see why charter boats are so popular.

I would enjoy Tortola and maybe Virgin Gorda, and do Snorkel trip. Come back again either by boat or visit Anegada/ North sound on a trip. Cane Garden bay area and JVD.

And you WILL be back.

Anegada sounds amazing! New itinerary
Day 1 - arrive, enjoy Scrub island
Day 2 - snorkel/Jost with Dive BVI - enjoy evening on Scrub ( dinner on scrub or trellis bay - recommendations?)
Day 3- Anegada ( How far in advance to get plane ticket? worried about weather not working out)
Day 4- Tortola ( smugglers cove and cane beach - lunch/dinner there at elm bbq or myetts garden & grill, quitos or Rhymes
Day 5 - Virgin Gorda - rent a car, see the island - make sure to spend time at Savannah Bay and last thing at the Baths to avoid the crowd ( what else is not misses?) restaurants for lunch and/or dinner?
Day 6 - morning on Scrub and then leave

That sounds funny!

Are you staying at Scrub for a reason, like Marriott points perhaps? If not, since you want to move around so much away from Tortola maybe you’d do better on a 5-day charter, or spend a couple nights on Anegada and a few on VG?

Scrub is set, just want to see everything. May not be able to get back. We like to do things so the pace won't bother us. Maybe in retirement we can spend more time on each island but this time it's just going be a sampling buffet. I know many would prefer to stay and enjoy one island but this trip it's just going to be scrub as a base and the best of each place. I appreciate everyone's input.

Be sure to check on the Baths before you go. They are at times closed due to weather, surf, jellies. If closed skip VG. Otherwies IMHO skip day 4. You can snorkel on your other excursions. If you must take a dat boat call Joe at Patouche.

Ask around CGB, at Myetts, for Mitch. He may take you for the day to Jost in his boat. Then visit All bays on Jost

Yes then by all means get everything in that you can, Scrub is a good base. If you can afford it a private charter like Mitch or even with Joe from Patouche would be an amazing day. You could hit Jost, the B-Line Bar on Little Jost, and Sandy Spit, then Norman, maybe Peter or Cooper Island, then the Baths from the boat, and land in CGB for dinner at Myett’s. Then you could spend another day on Anegada. Another option may be a water taxi from CGB to Jost if that fits your schedule better.

I would spend one day on Tortola though as she is the most beautiful of all IMHO...
