Any TTOLers at Moorings Road Harbor tonight or tomorrow? We have extra provisions and would be glad to give you and pay it forward.

Dinghy in to TMM, I am sure that you will find some grateful recipients. While you are at it, check out TMM, you might charter with them next time. Great outfit.

Awesome idea! We might do the same after our November charter!

There's another thread on this with the common sentiment to give "extras" to the dock crew or other locals.

We sometimes leave on saloon table when back on the dock...Sunsail say it is then distributed amongst dock-crew etc. No idea if thats true or not...

Unless we see a liveaboard cruise into the bay on our last night. In which case they are the lucky ones to get a dinghy full of painkiller ingredients, gallon jugs of BVI mineral water and if they're really, really lucky perhaps a box of cereal...

Generally, we self provision, and when we finish up our two week sailing vacation, the Rum i gone, Out of beer, out of food, and we toss anything that has been opened.

Anything that is still packaged, we put on the docks in bags for the staff.mOr leave it in the cockpit.

We also make up the lines, square away the running rigging, deposit all trash, bundle up the linnens, clean down below and top side, and leave the boat in good order.

We also top of the fuel, and the fresh water.

Giving it to cruisers or other sailors is also a great plan.

One trip, we had a nearly full bottle of rum left over, and I kind of watch for good sailors and seaman ship. Once they are all squared away, I dink over and make a unconditional gift of the rum to them.

All kinds of different ways to be thoughtful to others.

Then there was the kind soul that passed on to us a cooler with ice and some beer in it. Halfway through our first week we also found the rotting fish under all the ice....

Many years ago the wife and I were spending our last night in the Bight and had a lot of leftover food provisions. There was a sloop anchored near by with a bunch of Canadians trying to fix a broken engine. I forget who they chartered with but it was very budget. We dinked over to see if we could help. They were out of food but had cases of booze. We transferred all of our leftover provisions and they came over to our boat with a couple of bottles of tequila. It was an epic last night of shots.

Conch Charters has a basket in the office for extra provisions that goes to BVI food back for the needy.
