Food on Orient... we were super fans of Le String.. will miss is what is second best option????

Take out from the village and just bring our own drinks.. maybe one or two day but what is the best bar there?

Should we do Rainbow on day for lunch and hang at the grand case beach.

Dutch side... Sal Pepe on night... Toppers one night.... Open for some more ideas.. is LaVista good.. someone told us they are excellent and we are staying there.. we used to go to Rare and Tempations but not sure they are still there or is he in another place?

I alway pack my clothes and leave them there to a family that I know ... shoes.. stuff slightly worn but still nice... what else can we bring other than tourist $$$ that will be well received

Rosies ribs is back we heard in her mobile unit... we can not wait to be there... will miss her shack ... but hope she is good.... 6 of us on our way NEWARK TO SXM lots of peeps we will see I know that we have met over the years and welcome to come back after our Hawaii adventure last year...

filet--Yes, it seems like you are excited. I'm confused, you're staying at Green Cay and at LaVista also? I've always enjoyed the food at the Hideaway at LaVista. They also often have live entertainment. Rare and Temptation are gone, unfortunately. Rare a while ago, Temptation as a result of Irma. Dino is now the chef at Emilio's. I don't think it's nearly as good as Temptation, but others have enjoyed it.

Wow i remember going all over the island in trips gone by. Last few years is hard for us to just get out of Orient Bay sometimes we didn't even rent a car. I'm not sure if the behavior is old age or just being lazy. Maybe we'll meet on the beach

To answer your question on going to Rainbow for lunch and seeing Grand Case ------

I'd strongly recommend instead Sunset Cafe at Grand Case Beach Club. Great food, semi outdoor eating, great view of Anguilla. The property is beautiful and not as noisy as Rainbow, If you like Mussels they have a special on Thursdays.

Yes we are blessed to start our trip on the French side for 6 days and 6 days at lia vista...we also bring a suitcase full of clothes sneakers stuff nice were the. Once and give them to a family in need along with all of our collies bags etc just a idea for all of you that care for our island friends....anything else we can do other than spend spend and spend on food drinks etc...do they need anything we can pack...soooo excited to go see Rosie at Mullet Bay and will miss la string on orient

filet, wonderful that you do that. There is still so much need on the island, and bringing gently worn/used clothing is a great idea. Children's items are also very much in need.

I like your itinerary. But then, I'm someone who has never had an issue at Rainbow. As mentioned Dino is now at Emilio's, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Hubby loved the Emilio Plate. coal pot fish, johnny cakes.
