At the risk of sounding snarky ... according to several charter company operators I know, about 50% of all sailboat charterers never raise the sails, treating their sailboat like a powerboat. Is that an option? (I honestly know very little about the kinds of powerboats that are available for charter, so I don't know whether a sailboat without raised sails is comparable.)
