We are considering mooring at Marina Cay and the doing dinner and some scuba dives with Dive BVI from Scrub.

Is it a relatively easy dinghy ride? We like to stay on a ball vs at a dock if possible and Scrub only has dock space.

Generally an easy ride, especially during daylight or on a moonlit night. Not great if it's very windy, rainy, or very dark. Ask if the Scrub ferry will stop at MC to pick you up.

Oh that's a good idea - would they do it on short notice? Would I call a specific number or just the resort? Thanks!

Just call them on channel 16. They will stop.

We've taken the dinghy through the channel to scout out Cam Bay. We did it in calm conditions though, easy peasy. Seems like you have your choice, easy ride over by dinghy or call the ferry. I would think (assuming decent conditions) it comes down to whether you want to come and go as you please or don't mind waiting for the ferry.

We moored near Marina Cay last week, and were able to dingy to both trellis and the reef to the north. Like everything, I'd imagine this is weather dependent.
