It is often asked on here about what one can carry on or pack and meet TSA requirements. Many people rely on answers here and hopefully most are accurate but it is always best to check for yourself with the agency making the rules and decisions. Frozen meat comes into question a lot as does medications and toiletries, carry on restrictions versus checked luggage. Below is a link to the TSA "What Can I Bring" page and if it is not listed there one can send a picture or question to TSA via Twitter or Facebook Messenger for clarification. It might be worth bookmarking the page. In some cases, one should check directly with their respective airline or the FAA. I would also suggest checking as to if SXM (or any other destination you may have) has any additional restrictions. This was brought to my attention by another forum member. A couple of specific items of concern are self-defense sprays (as in pepper/mace) and various batteries, specifically lithium. In the case of pepper spray, if you check the link below and scroll to this item, you will see the notation to check with your specific airline. TSA WHAT CAN I BRING?

You never know when you might need them. In reality, "shed hunting" (hunting with a dog for shed antlers) is pretty popular in some areas and is a titled activity with a couple of different organizations.

Pretty popular in MI, not so much around here. Our younger dog has a litter mate that does the shed hunting.

It is always an interesting read as to what is allowed/not allowed. Defense sprays are allowed in checked luggage but AA bans even in checked luggage. I thought at one time defense sprays we not allowed on the Dutch side. This is going back a few years. Might be mistaken.
This gave me a laugh from the TSA list. Magic 8 Ball
For Carry-on bags: We asked the Magic 8 Ball and it told us…Outlook not so good!
For Checked bags: We asked the Magic 8 Ball and it told us…It is certain!

Yes, I noticed the Magic 8 Ball thing as well.
I thought self-defense sprays were not permitted on the island but I am not 100% sure of that.
As I stated, it was brought to my attention that specific items may be treated differently by the airlines and the FAA.
