Hi

We've were going in January for years until Irma hit. Updates a few month back was that work was proceeding with plans to complete by mid 2020. Any updates from any locals and if they look like they will be done by mid 2020 so we can plan for a January 2021 visit

Very active construction scene and a lot needs to be done. Normally I would say 6 months MAYBE but this IS the Caribbean. Most of the units are still cement shells...some with windows. No visible interior work done but I did not walk around the whole resort...I would think a 1/21 visit would be a go....

Projected opening is for August 2020. You should be good to go.

Also....yesterday a couple from SBR were walking around the resort along the water line (construction barriers, rocks etc) and got hit by a rogue wave and taken into the Bay and were being dragged away from shore. They were able to grab onto a rock and were rescued. Male got a decent leg laceration and the female lost her keys/wallet but both were lucky to be alive.

Not really much room there to walk....

Walked around the entire resort two days ago and was able to see into open doors, all I could see was the bare walls with a couple of electrical
wires hanging from the ceiling. All they seem to be doing is painting railings. Also, I could hear there was work being done with a jack hammer.
That appears that they are still tearing something apart.
