San Juan airport. Where is JD ? Stinky and I are waiting until the last minute to board on the wonderful bus to take us to new adventures and still no JD.... We take our seats on the plane in total despair and start chatting with the flight attendant (no she cannot spend 12 days on a boat with 2 guys...) when suddenlyy upon take off we hear "hey Dudes"...JD appeared out of nowwhere 2 rows behind us....with the help of the attendant ( still NO) we rearrange the entire flight sitting arrengement so HE can be next to us. Arrival at Beef Island..McKenzie is waiting for us but we have a few minutes to convince the manager of Necker Island that Richard is a very close friend....and that we plan on attending the Xmas party bringing a bunch of barely clad airline stewardesses with us.....upon hearing this the man decides that we are indeed close friends of Richard..... We get to our boat...(Lagoon 470 with everything including A/C and vibrating beds) just in time to receive our order from Bobby's. Bummer, Bobby's forgot 1/2 of the order, mostly our booze.....so we have to send the poor guy back for a corrected order...and wait.....he finally shows up with still some of the very important items missing (rum)...3rd time is a charm and we are fianlly under way..... first stop Treillis Bay and De Loose Mangoose where we have a wonderful dinner jiving with the kitchen staff ( French speaking) and some innocent people at the surrounding tables...(No their women do not want to come on a boat for 12 days).... After dinner I am the first one to do our famous "splash and go" to the delight of the kitchen staff..... The next day find us racing against Mama Cocha down the North shore of Tortola on our way to CGB....tears in my eyes as she is gaining ground on us....so proud of my baby....
A few rummers later we manage to anchor comfortably in front of Myett's until some guy in a kayak points out to us that we have managed to hood the "swimming zone" marker....After a lively discussion on the merits of the customs people vs. tourism in the BVI we decided that the customs may win this battle and moved the boat a couple yards just in time to meet with the TTOL party.....rest of the night spent at Quito's where none of the few single girls seemed interested in spending 11 days on a boat with a guy named "Stinky"..... Next stop St John and the Halloween party at Sklinny legs...(if anybody remembers anything of that party please jump in) the only memory I have is of an 80 years old French women who seemed interested on being attached to Stinky's bloody may IV drip for the next 10 days...we vetoed the idea.....
To be continued.....
Herve
