So, I saw where many people first stayed at Mt Vernon in the 1990’s.

What was it like?

Did it have a restaurant(s)? If so, was it where indoor car park is now?

How was the service?

Did they have valet parking?

Did they cart people around the resort?

Were there beach amenities?

Pool amenities?

Mix of guests? French, American, other?

Was it AN? Or halfway?

Huge buffet in center open air courtyard. Music at night. Great pool and nice beach. Cleaned seaweed off every morning. Mix of tourists. Saw our first very old French lady without a top. haha Parked same place. Rugged road to reception still pretty rugged. We drove up there last week when we were still on island and this stuff had not started yet. Beautiful view. Nice rooms. We were there during an earthquake. The walls shook!! We always had great service and stayed there several times. GREAT MEMORIES from when we were young...

It was an All Inclusive, or had that as an option. Sumptuous buffett at the pool. Very nice bathrooms at the pool. It was a 4 star resort.

It was a beautiful resort all inclusive. Large main restaurant in main building, pool restaurant & bar. Volleyball at the beach. Entertainment a few nights a week. Service great & No valet or people carting around. The units were large junior suites named after other islands (st barts,Saba,Martinique, etc.).
Great food, souvenir boutique. They had vouchers so we could try other restaurants such as bikini beach, la main a la pate, le Taitu. Sadly when they closed the management/ owners stiffed some of those restaurants they owed money to for the vouchers.
We loved it. You couldn't beat the view from balcony way down the beach. Disappointed when they changed everything!
