Cleaning out boxes in the attic and found a couple fun things from days gone by. Post card from my first visit to the USVI in 1979 ![[Linked Image]](http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l243/TravelAgain/TTOL/StreetSceneSTT.jpg)

Very cool!! Thanks! I have a bunch of scrapbooks from my early cruises. I should dig them out and look for old postcards like that!

Not Back Street. Crystal Gade or Synagogue Street. I used to live at the top of the hill. Carried my laundry down and back up that hill.

Yikes! And I used to b*tch to high heaven about living in a 3 story house and carrying my laundry to the basement and back from the 2nd floor!!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

Crystal Gade just above Raadets Gade - the synagogue is just on the left, the lower gate to Smith Fancy about where the photographer is standing, 7B Crystal Gade was my mailing address for many years, when it was delivered to 'Fat City' a saloon right at the corner of Crystal and Raadets Gades. Back Street is parallel to Crystal Gade one block South towards the harbor. Great old picture --- Thanks.

Carol: I also did hill repeats up that thing... Ah, youth is wasted on the young.
Local Sailor: It was a nice and convenient neighborhood.
In case anyone is looking for something interesting to do in town, a visit to the synagogue is well worth your time.
