This morning (Sat. Oct 23) the drawbridge at Sandy Ground was closed by protesters who blocked the road with two junked vehicles. These protests seem to concern resistance to vaccine mandates for health care workers, resistance to the Pass Sanitaire card proposal, and calls for more government funds to be invested in under-served neighborhoods.
Everyone in the street was polite. We turned around and reached Marigot via the causeway.
