Yup, it's a long way off.

Yup, I am a planner.

Yup, I know it won't be inexpensive.

Thinking about renting a villa for a week (Preferably Virgin Gorda North Sound) AND chartering a bareboat for the same week. I'm the captain, a few will have some experience on board. Instead of a counter clockwise trip around the BVI (which I have done 5 times) more a base the boat in Leverick bay, and maybe an overnight (for those that wish to go) to Anegada, Jost, some day trips for snorkling, etc.

I am thinking most of the dining will be at the villa, or restaurants.

Has anybody done this, and what were your thoughts, good or bad?

We probably want a 4 bedroom+ villa, recommendations?

We are getting things organized now for a March 23 trip.

Let me know.

Thanks!

We have BVI neighbors who also owned a sailboat and rented the house and boat out as a package, with captain.

Are you limited to one week's vacation? My inclination would be to charter a boat for a week and then rent a house for a week, so you get full benefit of both. Or rent a house and do day charters of a sailboat or power boat, to go to Jost, for example.

Thanks for the reply.

We are limited to about a week. Thinking about the catamaran as not only a sailing adventure, but also extra bunking (we will have 30yo, 18 yo, and 14 yo boys/men, and may have a set of parents there too). Can't really do two weeks.
