Any suggestions for cheap minimum insurance that will satisfy VG? We would normally just get insurance to cover our cape air flight……
Thanks!

I used Travel Insured International for our VG trip. They are on the BVI approved list and came up when I narrowed results to show COVID coverage on Insuremytrip.com
I think I paid under $300 for a family of 4. I played around with the numbers to get a premium I could live with. This one had good medical/Evac/repatriation. Like many, I wasn't asked to provide it but I felt better knowing i had it.

Remember that the biggest cost can be quarantine lodging if a member of your party tests positive on departure.

Absolutely. The reason why we started carrying travel insurance with higher quarantine options in Dec and Jan. Doing the same for our March trip. You never know……

We entered VG yesterday and we’re not asked about insurance. I panicked a bit because I forgot to print off our policy.. I firgureD if they asked, they could read it off my iPad.

We have been in the habit of buying trip insurance since our son was born as I never wanted to worry about the “what ifs” if he our us had a medical emergency.

I have a friend who lives in the UK and wishes to visit the BVI in March. He is having trouble finding an insurer to cover off the Covid coverage requirement. Could someone recommend a company who will provide coverage for a trip that is less than 3 weeks away? Thanks!

Gary--I don't know how his being from the UK affects it, but you should have him check with TTOL sponsor, Insure My Trip. There is a link here on the sponsors list. Use that link, versus just going directly to their page. The cost is the same, but TTOL gets a small referral fee. He can go through options and I know that Insure My Trip has an option where you can choose the highest rated Covid coverage policies. I picked one of those when I booked coverage for my next trip. As far as coverage for a trip that is close to when you buy the insurance, I think the only problem would be you couldn't get cancel for any reason insurance, but otherwise, I think the coverage would be the same.

Gary - try this one: https://www.postoffice.co.uk/travel-insurance. Suggest your friends double-check the coverage is right for them though.

I just got a policy from Travel Insured International as well. Paid a lot more than you did! Interesting they didn't ask for proof when you checked in.
