Wow. Would be nice to see some kind of official update from the airport. I wonder whether they will put them in piecemeal--i.e., get one completely done and operating and then move on to others? Of course, as far as I know, the upstairs is very far away from being ready for passengers anyway.

Was looking on the PJIA Airport website for info on when the project might be complete, and got distracted by this. It says they are or will be accepting bids for a CASINO at the airport!!! How do folks feel about that??

Carol - I am trying to remember pre-irma: I believe there are stairs that take you from the jetway down to immigration/arrivals so they could begin to use well before the upstairs is done. Doesn't mean they will.

Well that was short lived. It was taken back down maybe something wrong with it. When we departed hit was nowhere in sight.
