I just tried to find out cab fare to Grand Case but the taxi association website is in process of update.
Can anyone give me an approximation at this time?

never mind I just saw an old list of fares stating $45 so it will probably be 45-50 on the new schedule. Thanks.

Rosemary--be aware that the fares after dark go up. Suggest you confirm a price ahead of time.

Thank you carol. Between the rate increase in airfare to SXM and hotel park/fly before we leave I thought maybe we'd not rent a car but hubby said Leslie must need the business what with a new grandson so I booked a car for 2024.

It depends on how much you use it, but I have never considered NOT renting a car, as I want to be able to go where I want, whenever I want. The cost of car rental has gone up, like everything else, but overall, is still a lot lower than some other places.

But hubby won't drive at night and we love Case so we thought of renting car for one week then spending time lounging at BSV during the day and possibly cab to a Grand Case restaurant in the evening.

But that's moot now. I just booked a 2 week rental with Leslie again. His rates haven't increased from last year. Hey, it's only money and we can't take it with us, can we?

I just got bummed out with cost of airfare being more than $1000.00 over last year. Plus JB changed departure time so we won't get to SXM until after 3 pm almost a day gone. I'm spoiled because we used to fly out 7 am and be in SXM for lunch.

I haven't used him (or her?) myself, but Pat says there is a cab driver that is recommended by Beachside, that will do the Grand Case run. Or, we have personally used Wilfred Brooks, and he is quite good.

Carol, we always use Wilfred Brooks too. Super reliable, and he doesn't mind waiting in the area to pick you back up after dinner to bring you "home".
