Phil--certainly, as to Philippe. What's the thoughts about the one behind Philippe?

I'm not seeing any RED X and I do have a colored monitor.

91L riding behind TS Philippe (Soon to be named Rita) is going to interact with TS Philippe so it will not push 91L north but go more west. Not Good!

OK thanks. I thought you were referring to the OP's posted pictures. Guess my eyes aren't as bad as I thought. LOL

I am also not concerned much about the system behind Philippe.
It looks like upper level windshear & steering weather systems will diminish its strength. It will eventually turn north. But it looks like windshear will make certain it’s not strong. Again hopefully we get some much-needed rain but I’m not betting on that at this point.

Not sure how accurate the assessment is, but on Island 92 today they indicated that 91L will go also go north and not be a problem.

I would agree with that possibility..

If one looks at the projected track for Philippe the next few days, it looks like a little lost boy!! Wandering around with nowhere to go.

But it will pass by us kinda close 60 miles .

Thankfully it looks like it will have completely run out of gas by the time it passes. As everyone says, we could use the rain. My dog disagrees, he doesn't care for the rain.

Possible Fujiwhara effect where two storms close to each other merge and become one… interesting!

Philippe continues to be a very weird storm. Expected to just meander around for the next several days, and then (hopefully) head straight north.

Computer models have both storms going north but still needs monitoring.

TS Philippe has moved more westerly overnight and will brush SXM on Monday.
Expect a good amount of rain with possible flash flooding and windy conditions.

Be careful out on the roads, people!! Tropical downpours can be very dangerous if you are out driving in them.

Projected to be 145 miles NE of the island.

Looks like lots of rain this afternoon through Tuesday.

Beautiful day at Sunset Beach Bar and the sand came back. The storm is worst on the southeast side of the circulation and not causing bad weather for now. So go enjoy the day but always keep an eye to the sky!

The island cam is showing some showers now, but nothing much on the other webcams. Presumably tomorrow will be the worst of what the island will get.

60 miles and major flooding tomorrow , please avoid Cole Bay Hill road and some roads in Phillipsburg .

45 miles away from SXM so the storm will be at your door in a few hours. Guadeloupe recorded 12.4 inches of rain totals with dangerous flooding. Be safe!

The airport is closed.

According to Island 92, the storm is about 45 miles north of SXM. The sea is churned up but there does not seem to be much of a tidal surge on Simpson Bay Beach. All businesses are closed for the day and motorists are advised to stay off the roads.

SXM Island cam looks very cloudy. Tropical storm WARNING issued for Anguilla. Weird, considering no watches even for SXM?

And the storm surge is eating away at Maho Beach.

Overall, if that's the only 'damage', that's a big win.

That pretty much happens on a regular basis throughout the year.

The extreme lightning in this system caused a fire at the Falmouth Marina building in Antigua! Luckily nobody hurt, but I'll miss the bars that were in there...

I was watching a group walk on the sand just north of where the rocks start and the drop off is significantly over their heads....maybe a 7-8 foot drop

Just finished our walk the length of Simpson Bay. Quite a bit of sargassum. The guys have been hard at work cleaning it up in front of Beachside. Refreshing swim in the pool. All is good.

Boucharda....WOW! 7-8 foot drop! That is impressive.

Do we know if the two ships that are scheduled actually came? They may well have changed their itineraries based on the location of the storm.
