We just returned from our third trip to SXM in as many years. We have had a very stressful year so we just wanted to relax. Our days followed pretty much the same routine. Breakfast was on our balcony consisting of coffee, OJ and pastries from the Cupecoy Market. We spent most of the day on one of two beaches. On the days that we went to Orient, we ate lunch at Baywatch. The food was super! When we went to Baie Rouge, we took a picnic lunch from the Cupecoy Market. We tried a different selection of sandwiches each day and all of them were very good.
After happy hour, we went for dinner at one of the following places:
Mario’s Bistro – wonderful food and great service Halsey’s – the food was so good we went twice Le Cottage – great food and wine Piccolo – great food and a great value too Turtle Pier – poor food and poor service Talouha Mango’s – nice for a casual meal Jimbo’s – good food but slooooow service
The only shopping we did was with Deepti and Jeff at DK Gems. As always, they were so helpful and friendly.
We did very little on this trip but it was just what we needed!!
