Cuba is not a threat, but Venezuela is! Both small compared to Russia. If Russia thinks it can get a proxy war going between Guyana and Venezuela it is almost laughable.

Personally, I figure that ANY festivities - or really any boring life in general - would be marred by nuclear vaporization anywhere in the world. Kind of like saying it would get a lot darker if the sun were to burn out - a Captain Obvious sort of statement.

Juneteenth is a holiday recognizing the emancipation of the last slaves in the US. If you sarcastically state that it would be "traumatic" if those celebrations (and celebrators?) were vaporized, it sounds like you are saying those celebrations are unwarranted, or misguided, or otherwise unworthy and it wouldn't be such a bad thing if the people doing the celebrating were killed.

That sounds somewhat racist to me. Did I read that wrong? That's what I was asking him. I'm now curious as to what YOU thought he meant. He hasn't come back to explain the strange comment and what he meant.

Please can we get back on topic. My intel gave me June 19th as the arrival date. It has nothing to do with a US Federal Holiday. Venezuela is a problem and it can be the spark to WWIII. Get out of dodge if you are anywhere near this soon to be hot zone or not… whatever.
