Are there any Leopard 50 owners out there who have experience rigging up the sun shade for the fly bridge?

We just did it last week...you need to make sure you have the (4) poles on the boat. It unrolled from the velcro enclosed pocket on either side of the boom. It is a black mesh and each side takes a pole forward and aft that go into holes on the boat. One pole is shorter for the top of the helm seat hole...

We only had 2 poles so used the safety harness forward attached to the stays

Great info! could you possibly share a photo of the setup? Is your shade one piece or two? I don't think the poles came with the boat. What model year is your 50?
Many thanks, Bailau!

It isn't my boat my friend...I am on the power side but my buddy has a 46' in the program and we got to upgrade to 50'. It had only 300 engine hours so expect 2023 at the oldest. They come out of both sides of the boom so 2 pieces (see pic). We had a broken hook and when we searched the boat we found these 2 unfamiliar poles in the forward storage and when we decided to mess with the shade we recognized what they were for. They were black with a stainless steel button on top that fit through the holes on the corners...as I mentioned one hole in the boat for the poles is on the cockpit top so shorter. it took some work to get the poles all the way down in the holes

Ours is a 2018 model year and I don't think Robertson Caine thought through how to do the shade at that point so they just provided the shade mesh but didn't address how to rig it. There are no holes nor poles nor velcro compartment on the side of the sail bag. We'll have to jerry rig something. Thanks for your help!
