Most of you on TTOL know the beloved "pat" and her daughter "kim", but few knew pat's husband, John. I had the pleasure of meeting pat, John and kim many years ago on SXM and also meeting them at their home in CT. They are all QUALITY people and loved SXM.

It is with much sadness I want to inform you that John Denley has passed on. He was a very unique person, and I was honored to have met him, pat and kim. They also have another daughter, Karen.

Below is a link to the obituary for John Denley. May he RIP.

Condolences to the family.

John Denley

MJ and I are honored to have known him, spent moments of time with him and Pat. Laughed a lot, great memories. Lucky to have had that time, saddened by his passing.

He was a very special person, with an amazing sense of humor and a true joy for life. Our times on the island didn't always mesh, but when they did, we enjoyed his and Pat's company. He will be missed.

Some years ago "Wingman" was having one of his famous summer parties at his house in East Haven CT. He informed the "BSVN" gang that we were going to have two new guests to the BBQ!! In comes Pat and John. We became such good friends after that and enjoyed each others time at BSV!!! John was a very special person!!! We will miss him!! God bless !! My condolences to you Pat and your family!! David

I communicated with pat briefly yesterday. She thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers and will make that known but she is just not up to posting just yet.

Thank you.

For anyone interested, there was a live stream of the service. Below is a link. It is just under 1 hour and was a very nice service for John.

Glad you made the service. I contemplated going but with an elderly dog at home and a 10.5 hour drive each way, it just did not work out. It was a very nice service and tribute to John.

Oh how very sad I like so many other others always enjoyed all of Pats wonderful posts and Kimβ€˜s as well. Having lost my own husband last year. I fully understand how painful this must be. Grief is a long process with lots of twists and turns my heart goes out to Pat and Kim. There really are no words just feelings and I know they must know how many people care about them. I hope time is kind to them.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It’s going to be an interesting journey without Dad around to keep me in line!!! πŸ˜‚. Even at 57 he would still check in on me when I was in SXM β€œjust to hear my voice” and to make sure I wasn’t β€œout late”. Now If he only realized I was usually in my pjs by 9 most nights ❀️❀️. My sister Karen and I both are here to help mom

I’ve been trying for days to post my most sincere thanks to all of you for your expressions of love for my husband and this is the best I can do.

He was quite a guy…… a great father; a good and dear friend to all who were privileged to have known him; and a truly good man. And most of all, a wonderful husband. I lost my best friend but heaven has surely gained another angel.

Suffer no more, my love, but Rest in Peace until the twelfth of never and that’s a long, long time!

Respectfully,

pat
