Arrive from MIA at 12:15 scheduled - any chance to make Speedys Ipm ferry or get to the 1:30 ferry from Roadtown?

You might make the 1 pm. It takes 30 minutes to get to Road Town, and taxis are expensive, so no point in going there for the 1:30; better to arrange a private run with Speedy's. Or simply go to the Loose Mongoose and wait for the next ferry.

Hopefully we will arrive early but next ferry is 4:30 which is a long wait at Mongoose with 2 little kiddos.
Will look into speedy private transfer.

Loose Mongoose is on the beach with docks. Kids love playing there. Just to the side are boulders on which they can climb.

We used Dive BVI for private transfer. Capt was waiting for us at the dock, cooler full of cold drinks. Great way to start our trip.

Agreed with this. Definitely do not take the taxi to Road Town for the 1:30.

You have a chance to make the 1pm. Make sure you are first in line for Customs and Immigration. And then tell the taxi people you are catching the 1pm.

If you don't want to risk not making that and having to wait until 4:30pm for the next one, book a private transfer. Should be like $400 or so. Which, is significantly more than 4 ferry tickets at $120, just depends on how much you value waiting.

Thanks.. not sure how to be sure to be first in line at customs but will try-we are 3 adults and 2 young kids.

In February we were a few behind first in line in at customs and it still took nearly an hour from getting of the plane to walking out the door at the airport.

Well… AA just cancelled the 8:20 flight from MIA and rebooked us on the 10am flight which arrives at 2pm. They made the change without notifying us. So now we have plenty of time to clear customs, grab lunch and take the 4:30 ferry.

Just be super close to the airport staffer as they are walking you from the plane into the terminal!
