I rarely eat meat but love a burger once or twice a year. Who has the best burger on the island (and not Kobe please)

Dreams. Although if Greg at the Palms has his burger, which is an occasional special, it is possibly the best I have had on island. Cheers, Todd

BBB and Sunset Beach Bar are my favorites. But any burger with your feet in the sand is great.

Don't know about the best, but we love having them at "The Perch". They're great, plus an "all over tan" from Willie to wash it down (and you don't have to put clothes on).

We love the burgers at Ethnic on Orient Beach. Mexican is my favorite and Italian for my husband.

I have had exactly one burger on the island, and that was the mushroom and swiss burger at the Hideaway. It is an excellent pre-flight, hangover cure, burger.
However, under ordinary circumstances, I would go with whatever burger Todd says is best, as he is the quintessential beef expert!

Andy and Cheryl's on Orient has a bacon cheeseburger that is the best I have had on Saint Martin. I am a burger guy and have a list. A&C on OB is way up there on the list. It's like a 5 Guy's with an unbelievable view and Cheryl and cold Heinekens that are brewed in the Caribbean.

IMHO, both Sunset and BBB are average at best now. At one time they both used to be good. Back when they used Certified Angus Beef and real wood charcoal Sunset was really good, no more on either.
BBB used to use Certified Angus Beef and I think briquets but now it is generic beef and gas plus service and proper cooking (medium, not raw) are a crapshoot.
Honestly, in the last 2+ years, I can not say I have had a memorable burger on the island. Tried Greenhouse last year and average also and not very big.

Yes, BBB USED to have very good beef. I used to love their steak sandwiches. Any more, not so much.

You used to see a lot of CAB (Certified Angus Beef) on the island, but not so much now. With burger, I think CAB makes a big difference unless the place is using a special grind of unfrozen beef.
I guess under the right conditions, most anything is good but I think the overall quality of beef used on the island has gone down.

crossing BBB off our list, being the owner of a burger place who uses only fresh Angus 85/15 hand packed ground chuck, I believe cooking burgers over fire as opposed to cooking it on a flat top makes all the difference in the world.

Taco Macho, IMHO, has the best burger on the island. I guess being hidden away near Algeria (Caravansari) resort hurts them a bit.
