We will be flying into SJU on a Saturday afternoon and departing early the next morning. We will be staying at the airport hotel. Looking for restaurant and bar recommendations, as well as places to visit in the short time we will be there for 4 adults.

Thanks,

Tony

Metropole in Isla Verde for dinner then across the street to the bar at the El San Juan. A short cab ride from the airport.

I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

If you want to be a bit more adventurous you could grab a cab and head straight to Old San Juan. If you get there early enough in the afternoon you may have time to tour a fort and check out some of the great architecture in the daylight. Then, being a Saturday night there would be plenty of options for bars and restaurants.

Nothing wrong with sticking around the airport though. Metropol is a great restaurant and the El San Juan should be hopping that night. Make sure to have a decent outfit handy if you want to hang out at the El as they enforce an evening dress code.

Thanks to all for the tips and suggestions, so looking forward to the visit. I've been to SJU but never outside of the airport.

If you're ready for a good steak there's the Ruth Chris Steak house at the Intercontinental Hotel next to the El San Juan Hotel <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />
