I was wrong - was unable to watch via tor. After some more searching I was successful using this... https://www.tunnelbear.com/ The free trial is limited to 500Mb but that was enough to watch the episode. I later learned that right after selecting UK, then turn tunnel bear on, then go to the BBC site & start the video, then you can turn off tunnel bear saving some of your 500Mb for soemthing else later.
