It was a peaceful week! This week wasn't as busy as the first, but we still had a good time!

Day 9 - Monday
We got up early and drove around the island to see everyone scurrying off to school and work. Scurrying? What am I thinking. NOBODY scurries anywhere or at any time! LOL We headed back to the room to do some laundry, then off to BBB again for Pizza. (couldn't get enough of that stuff) We then headed to Mullet for a day at the beach. Came back had some dinner and went to bed. In case you haven't noticed, we go to bed very early. We're in the same routine down there as we are up here in Ohio. Anyway, that was our Monday.

Day 10 - Tuesday
Went to the Mailbox to check a few things on the net, made a call then headed to the SSBB for lunch and watch the planes again. They just amaze me. (getting to be so close) We headed back to the beach, yes Mullet and spent the day there. Came back, ate, went to bed.

Day 11 - Wednesday
Went over to Divi to see Gizmo (the only parrot I know that has his own bar), and went to Philipsburg to do a little shopping. WE stopped at the Harbor View for some breakfast and seen a scuffle between a gentleman putting out chairs and some island man I guess who hangs around when everyone is gone. Within I'd say about 2 minutes, there were 3 police officers there to settle the problem. I know everyone has been talking about the police down there and what a poor job they do, but I'll tell ya, we seen the police out everyday. We were on the French side and one of theirs drove by with the nee ner nee ner siren going and it cracked me up. Kinda whimpy sounding to me, but that's just me. Anyway.....that day we decided to go swimming at the Pelican beach. Not near as nice as Mullet. The sand was pretty rough on the ole dawgs. We stayed for maybe 2 hours, then left. We cleaned up and went to Peg Leg's for dinner.

Day 12-Thursday
Got up and drove around again. Went to the SSBB again for lunch and yes the planes. Headed off to Mullet for swimming. Stayed about 2 hours then headed back to the Pelican and swam in the pool there. I think we were pooped from the first week still. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

Day 13 - Friday
Got a late start today. We slept in til 7 AM wooo hooo. Didn't leave the room until about 12. Went back to Philipsburg to get a few more things, and stopped at the 5 Alive Bar (I believe that's the name) and had a few drinks. Our 16 year old decided he wanted some banana daqs. He had 4 and each one was stronger than the one before. He drank like an old pro....hmmmmmmm! The bartender gave us all a shot of this remedy he created (SHEW WEEEE). It was nasty! Of course my son and husband loved it! He told us we'd sleep like old cows that night. WE left there and went back to the room, got something to eat and went to bed. MOOOOOO

Day 14 - Saturday
Last full day. We spent that at Mullet. There wasn't many people there which was nice. Pretty quiet. We did the rest of our laundry, and chilled out. We also packed. I was pretty excited to get home. We have 2 dogs (boxers) and I missed my babies....Bad.

Day 15 - Sunday
WE'RE GOING HOME!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I love St. Martin, but being gone for 2 weeks in kinda long for me. WE checked out of the Pelican, left the room at 10 am, drove around for a little, went to the BBB one more time for the pizza, then headed to the airport. We were first in line to check-in so it wasn't bad. The girl going through our luggage wasn't the happiest person in the world, but everything was cool. Headed up to the bar and had a few more beers and off we went. Everything was perfect.


I hope this trip report was ok. I took a few notes, I know I left stuff out, but what the heck. You can't remember everything!!!! The guy who stayed with our dogs is my husbands best friend. He did a great job!!! He did call to say that our boy boxer reached up on the counter and ate his steak and baked potatoe. Foil, Saran Wrap and all. That made me a little nervous. OK, ALOT nervous!!!! But everything came out in the end-----no pun intended!!! LOL He set off the alarm in the house one day and the police showed up. My dad had to call him and talk to the police. Needless to say, the house was still standing, and very clean I might add, and the dogs were still breathing!!!!! It turned out to be a great vacation!!!!!
