It's coming DOWN here at the moment! Just had to close the sliders from rain coming in.. We were headed over to Orient this morning to take some pictures, but not right this minute, as if it's raining over there like here, they won't be working anyway!

When we were there the end of April into very early May they hadn't had any serious rain in ages and the brown burned grasses and shrubbery were sad to look at. And coupled with it was the volcanic ash that made the sky literally gray and vague. We never saw Saba but once over the almost three weeks we were there, and the one day we did, it was only a vague image in the ocean but had we not known it was there, we probably would have completely missed it. Is the ash still an issue? For everyone's sake, I surely hope NOT.

I think the ash is still around, but not horrible. The sky has been hazy, but not grey.

Yeah, I'm fine with it. The island is so brown. I do feel sorry for those people coming in on a ship today though. It looks a little lighter over at Orient. We may try to head over there after a while.

My apologies for the misspeak.
I knew what it was (not volcanic ash) and where it was from. Guess I needed another cup of coffee before I put my thoughts into print earlier........ <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />
So now that we've established the Sahara sands, what's the story with the Sargasso seaweed..... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />
