I'm goin' the highlights/lowlights route also...see Saildoggie post for more play by play and technical boat stuff....

Highlights:

The first Red Stripe on the ferry from St Thomas and then actually arriving at Soper's Hole to meet Saildoggie and crew on the last ferry even after our first flight of the day out of BUF was cancelled...(long story, don't fly Delta)

Meeting Saildoggie and crew and seeing Candace and Malcolm for dinner at Jolly Roger our first night after a crazy travel day.

Meeting other TTOLers Meg, Karen, GlennR etc in White Bay...and per Haley …"doing gymnastics on the beach in White Bay"…

Zach and I decided to try Conch Fritters and Roti's in a bunch of places, but are still undecided on which ones were actually better...on one note though the Roti at JR had a sauce that was slightly sweet and very tasty.

Waking up in the morning and jumping off the stern of the boat as my “wake up call”

Great dinner at Cooper Island…..not so great service for the Birthday girl, but fun was still had by all!

Seeing CaptMonk and the SeaTrek crew at Marina Cay! Thanks again for the rashguard for RexIII…he LOVES it!

Beach day at Loblolly….I personally did not do any snorkeling that day, but the folks who did had a great time.

Shark taco's at Cow Wreck thanks to Nancy's fishing prowess, also a beautiful day of course just hanging on the beach there....the kids got to see Walker clean some fish.

All in all, spending two days on Anegada was just wonderful! Finally met Vernon and had some great times at Neptunes.

Rex got to go fly fishing with Walker and I’m pretty sure he will tell the story until the end of time!

Getting in some nice long sails on Jeannius between anchorages, although I couldn't beat Mark's 9.4 knots but I think Rex did...(he had more wind <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Devil.gif" alt="" />)

Sending the little boats off on their way off of Anegada...the kids had a blast in the Leverick Bay Pool with them the day before.

Speaking of Leverick, I highly recommend tying up to the dock for a night there....Nick is a lovely host and the facilities there are wonderful....it was nice to be able to use the pool, showers etc and the restaurant was great, great music and dancing.

Meeting Tricia and Tommy and then dinner at Corsairs was great! The pizza was very good! The sail to CGB was beautiful….wish we could have hung out with Tricia and Tommy longer!

Cane Garden Bay was a lot of fun for us, we were landbased as of that Saturday the 30th and had a room at Rhymers for the remainder of our trip (4 days). Caught a little of the meet and great but would have liked to meet more folks….Met Teacherdunn and wife Karen and kids…our kids thought they were just adorable! Again, wish we could have spent more time hanging out with them!

We enjoyed Quito twice, once with the band and once solo.

We did the Elm BBQ (VERY GOOD) with Mal, Candace and Robin...great times and probably one of the best meals of the trip!

Rex and I saw the COOLEST shooting star or should I say Meteor over the eastern sky of CGB….it was the size of say a mast light streaming across the sky with a very cool tail! Yes, I made a wish! Can anyone guess what it was?! Anyway, very nice nights just limin’ in CGB and looking at the stars especially from Rhymer’s patio!

Meeting LindaKay and her daughter Sarah and husband Jason….spent a bunch of time with them at Quitos and Bananakeet over a couple of days!

Spending the day at Malcolm and Candace’s with them and Robin….lot’s of fun just loafing in the surf and relaxing with good friends at CRC!

Great sunset cocktails and more excellent fish tacos at Bananakeet!

On one of our rental car days we visited Josiah’s Bay and had a lovely day and then spent a great afternoon just chillin at the Tamarind Club…..kids had a blast in the pool and we met some great people at the bar.

Another car day we popped into Nanny Cay Marina and decided to check it out….hung out at Peg Legs for a while, met some more cool people, bought some cool t shirts at one of the stores and had a nice morning.

Funny quotes:

Mark to Rex as Rex picks up his sailing gloves….: “What manly thing are you going to do now?”

Rex to Mark as he’s being wheeled out of the grocery store in the shopping cart….”have you seen my flip flop?”

Mark to Rex after a night of drinking Cruzan 151….”arghhhhhh!…..so I woke up with my feet on the floor and my body on the bunk…….”

Tommy to all of us after their first night onboard…..”wait until you see the picture I got of Mark in his cabin last night!…”

Tommy responding to someone after that…”No! the cabin door was already wide open!”

Alright I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting!

Lowlights:

I got eaten alive by noseeums in the first five minutes I was at the Soggy Dollar Bar….I counted about 95 bug bites that night…..what I did determine by about the tenth day of the trip was that just plain original OFF in the orange can works the best!!!!!

Saying good bye to our fellow Jeannius buddies in CGB

Not booking more vacation time!
