We are morning people and love the sunrises on the island. If you click the "View Original" button at the top you will see the high-res version. For some reason, that is the only version that I can embed here.

Great idea! It has probably been 30 years since we were up there. Beautiful country in the entire Canadian Rockies.

It is THE most beautiful place I've ever been and THE most romantic. Had afternoon tea in that lodge beside the lake and can't imagine how great it would be to stay there. Also took a row boat out on the lake.

Also it's neat to do the ski lift near there and to see Lake Louise from the top of a nearby mountain.

Now you are forcing me to go into the attic and look for the old pictures (or slides) from the area. Thanks for giving me another place that I really want to go back to!!!

Agreed, contrary to popular opinion, not everyone in the world is on Facebook.

This thread is really long and there are some great pictures here. I'm contemplating moving this whole thread to the trip report forum and starting another new thread. Is there enough interest in that, or should we just let this one die out?
