I posted a report of what I learned about the Towers under the "rebuilding" thread. Other than a few items, one could bring up my previous trip reports, and they would pretty much describe our stay.
I do want to mention a new restaurant that we enjoyed, Rendez Vous Cafe, behind Cheri's in Maho. The ecclectic menu is small, but the food is very good, and inexpensive. If you require a lot of food, you might be disappointed, but the way they prepare their vegetables is wonderful. It is run by a young couple...he French, she Russian..who are very personable. All the seating is outside. On Tuesday night when Cheri's is closed they have music provided by a trio composed of only 2 people and it was very low key and pleasant.
The other item I want to mention is that my husband's very delicate back needed some emergency chiropractic treatment while we were in SXM. He had two treatments at the "St. Maarten Chiropractic & Massage Clinic" at 2 Onyx Rd., Simpson Bay (directly opposite the entrance to the Atrium). The second treatment was followed by a massage. After these two treatments he was able to get back to playing golf. There are two Chiropractors and one massage therapist there, all female.

We spent almost all of our time on the Dutch side due to both traffic and the Euro. I believe our group singlehandedly kept Rosie's rib shack profitable.
Mullet Beach showed us many of its multiple personalities during our stay, making trips to other beaches a rarity.
After two years of renting a phone from Sharon, it is on our list of necessities, just like a rental car.
We spent 4 nights at the Royal Turtle prior to our timeshare weeks, and enjoyed it very much.
