It is so hot here right now and I am in my mid fifties so you know this is killing me. It is so hot that my husband Roger and I look for stores with air conditioning and then we loiter. Seriously, the people at Radio Shack are so on to us! How many times can someone walk around a radio shack? Yesterday we tried a new tactic and ducked into the social security office for a seat and air conditioning. Well, fortunately I lost my SS card about 20 years ago so we could take a number and talk to someone if we stayed that long. They even had clean flush toilets! I was in heaven!! Pumping the head on the boat gets to be a drag. And the best part of all is that they are mailing me a replacement card for free. Isn't life good?

as Jack Sparrow so affectionately said, "Welcome to the Caribbean love"

This is why we have air and generator on our boat.

Linda, mid August, September and October are the hottest and most humid months of the year in the VI.
I suggest you invest in a generator and AC.
Also it sound like you might be dehydrated or are eating to many sweets.
Good luck with your charter business

Living aboard. We started a charter business and finished one season.... now we are without work, broke and hot! :-) Hopefully next season we will have enough work to pay off some debt. How about you?

Thanks. We are doing our best. An AC unit would be great.

Sounds like you are in the STT Sub Base area -- try the cold room at Pueblo, the workers are wearing winter jackets!

I love that cold room. The rest of the store is hot and once I get in there I need 10 minutes just to cool down. I used to be the coldest person anyone had ever met. And then came menopause.

I have a close friend who was the same way - wearing a sweater during an 85 day to turning into a human furnace. She said it got better.
