As I understand, she was intentionally grounded after taking on water. Assuming the hull is still in good shape that should not be a terribly dificult salvage job. Meanwhile somebody has to fill in the supply gap to Anegada. With the new places and increased marketing this is set to be a record year for Anegada. A lack of supplies would put a serious crimp in that plan.

jphart said: Headline bugs me... This isn't a barge. Inter island freighter. Should be an easy recovery. Shouldn't it? Why not a Barge? Recovery should be very easy as it's only in about 11'/12' of water, Husky were inspecting it today.

Frank, thanks for the update last night. Good to see you at Leverick. We're likely headed over today. But, we are being pretty lazy this morning.

Where is it grounded? One of the beaches and if so where. We will be there in a week and am curious of it whereabouts.
Darn guess we are going to have to live on Lobster.

I can see the top of the vessel, Isabelle 5, from the anchorage. She is outside of the channel to the south of the last red buoy before the green/red buoy.. We spoke with Desne at Wonky Dog and she said that Husky towing was out Saturday to have a look. We haven't seen any salvage work Sunday or Monday morning. Here's a photo I took on the way in yesterday: http://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...amp;oe=56C3264F Cheers, RickG
